Forum on “Footprints of Fa Xian”
The forum “Footprints of Fa Xian” organized to commemorate the Anniversary of 1,600th year of the visit of Rev. Fa Cian from China to Sri Lanka held on 19th September 2010 at the LingguamgTemple in Beijing was successfully concluded. All 15 scholars captured the attention of the participants bringing different perspectives of the visit of Rev. Fa Xian to Sri Lanka. The set objectives of the event; bridging the face to face academic discourse on Buddhism; advancing the comprehensive understanding between two countries; and reviving the historical visit os Most Rev.Fa Xian 1,600 years ago;were achieved.
I am pleased to state that many participants attended to the forum commented this forum as an excellent academic exercise. In this regard I wish to extend my sincere appreciation to you for hosting the event. I am more than convinced that without your personal commitment, support and guidance we could not have achieved the success to study further on the visit of Most Rev.Fa Xian and strong feeling among participants on Buddhist principles.
Once again, peease accept my heartfelt thanks to you and your talented team, who contributed to make this event a great success.

2010年9月19日在灵光寺成功举办“法显的足迹”佛教论坛，纪念法显从中国赴斯里兰卡访问1600周年。十五位学者就法显访问斯里兰卡给出不同的观点，吸引参与者们的关注。组织此活动的目的是：面对面对佛教进行学术研究论坛，增进两国全面了解，重温法显1600年前的历史性访问。
我很高兴得知很多参与此活动的人士评论该论坛是非常好的学术活动，在此，真诚感谢您帮助主办此活动。我十分确信没有您的努力、支持与指导，就无法成功举办这当代历史上具有里程碑意义的活动。此活动激发人们对法显的访问进行更深研究，同时使参加的人士对佛教教义感受更强烈。
